The HRS Communities of Practice provide members an opportunity to engage, network, and share knowledge and best practices with others who share a similar interest. At Heart Rhythm 2017, the Communities of Practice are open to all attendees to learn more about what each group is doing. Attend any of these sessions, targeting Advanced Imaging, Allied Professionals, Emerging Leaders, the Florida Region, Women in EP, and Veteran Affairs.
Thursday, May 11 | 1:30–3 p.m.
This session will discuss the latest advancement in both atrial and ventricular imaging for diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias. Advanced imagers, physicists and EPs will join the discussion to tackle this topic from multiple point of views.
Thursday, May 11 | 8–9:30 a.m.
Session Description: Complications of EP procedures can be damaging to patients, hospitals, and to a physician's reputation. Thankfully many strategies have evolved to avoid these events. This session will illustrate to attendees how expert faculty perform aspects of interventional electrophysiology procedures in order to avoid common complications.

Session Description: This session will provide an opportunity for the audience to hear established professionals from academics and the private sector describe their navigation of non-traditional career pathways, focusing specifically on points at which they successfully pivoted between trajectories.
Friday, May 12 | 8–9:30 a.m.
Session Description: In this unique session, experts from different parts of the world will discuss the importance of global experiences in shaping your EP career, EP training strategies across the globe, and provide information on available opportunities for international training as well as discuss the tips, tricks and practical suggestions to make your experience successful. Prepare for an interactive session involving a combination of talks and panel discussions that will hopefully pave the way for your international experience and collaboration.

Session Description: The goal of this session, titled "Successfully Navigating the first 5 years of your EP career: The Top 5s"" is to discuss up-to-date, clinically relevant and practical aspects impacting your EP practice and career.

Session Description: This session will explore how to get involved in upcoming clinical trials, how to pitch an idea for a clinical trial, and requirements for a successful trial and its participants. It will also provide guidance on data ownership and reporting, funding, etc. Join five industry panelists for an interactive session with discussions and questions and answers.
