Heart Rhythm 2019 has more than 21 sessions specifically tailored to allied professionals. Discover the latest advances in the heart rhythm field — check out registration to start planning your schedule!

The Allied Professionals Program will be submitted to offer ASRT/ARRT credit for select sessions at Heart Rhythm 2019. The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) requires meeting participants attend the entire session as approved in order to earn Continuing Education (CE) credit. 

 

Allied Professionals Forums

The Allied Professional (AP) Forums promote quality education for allied professionals and inspire attendees to expand scientific discovery and apply it to their daily practice. Three complimentary forums will be offered on Wednesday, May 8:

S-APF01.1 Multidisciplinary Care of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Patient - Part I

Session Description: This session will review commonly seen and sometimes difficult to manage patients with syncope, wide complex tachycardia, and autonomic dysfunction. It will review ECG patterns that have been associated with increased risk for SCD. It will also give an update on best practices for remote monitoring.

S-APF01.2 Multidisciplinary Care of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Patient - Part II

Session Description: This session will give a review of the current EP guidelines and consensus statements as well as discuss any updates in EP pharmacologic treatments. It will also review how to streamline and transition care of AF patients from inpatient to outpatient to optimize outcomes.

S-APF01.3 Multidisciplinary Care of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Patient - Part III

Session Description: This session will touch base on the basics of genetic testing for EP advanced practitioners including patient selection, test choice and interpretation. It will review the approach to EP patients regarding follow up care and restrictions. This session will help the provider to become comfortable approaching end of life discussions regarding device therapy and planning. It will also review the importance of device diagnostics to optimize patient outcomes and management.

S-APF02.2 Catheter Ablation of Atrial Arrhythmias - Part II
S-APF02.3 Catheter Ablation of Ventricular Arrhythmias - Part III

Session Description: To review arrhythmia mechanisms and mapping/ablation strategies in patients with SVT, atrial fibrillation/flutter, and ventricular arrhythmias for the EP professional.

 

Contemporary Review of the Management of Patients with Cardiac Devices

S-APF03.2 From Implant to the Clinic - Part II
S-APF03.3 From Implant to the Clinic - Part III

Session Description: This day long forum focused on the care of patients with CIEDS including indications, follow up, trouble shooting, best practices, complications, and remote monitoring.
